Cookie Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-01
FinSight AI keeps a small amount of information in your browser to run the app. This page lists all of it, what each item is for, and which parts you can switch off.
Strictly necessary
These are needed to keep you signed in and to remember basic settings. The app does not work without them.
- Sign-in cookie (
fs_refresh) — set by our API when you sign in. It is an httpOnly cookie, so scripts on the page cannot read it, and it is only ever sent to our sign-in endpoints. With “Remember me” on it lasts up to 30 days; with it off it ends when you close the browser. Signing out removes it. - Session token (
finsight.access) — a short-lived token kept in your browser’s storage so pages can call our API. It is renewed from the sign-in cookie. It lives in local storage when “Remember me” is on and in session storage otherwise. - Your preferences — whether you chose “Remember me” (
finsight.persistent), your light or dark theme, and the choice you made on the cookie banner (fs_consent_v1).
Optional
These load only if you choose Accept all on the cookie banner. Choosing Essential only keeps them off.
- Error reporting (Sentry) — if we have enabled it, a small script reports errors so we can fix them. It does not record what you type.
Set by other services
- Google — if you sign in with Google, Google sets its own cookies under its own policy.
- Stripe — if you open checkout or the billing portal, Stripe sets cookies for fraud prevention and the payment flow under its own policy.
We do not use advertising trackers or sell data. You can change your banner choice by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which also signs you out. Questions: hello@finsightai.gg.
